The University Woman’s Club Scholarships in Honor of Ida Friday are awarded to two female students on the basis of academic achievement and potential, as well as the need for assistance with college costs. Each scholarship provides $3,000 toward the recipient’s tuition and fees at UNC-Chapel Hill.

In 2008, the University Woman’s Club established an endowment scholarship account with the University. This step provides investment income for the scholarship fund and ensures that the scholarship will be award in perpetuity. Your contributions toward the endowment fund are encouraged to support the education of deserving young women from our area.

You may make a gift to the scholarship fund to honor or in memory of a friend or family member. Please download our UWC Scholarship Fund PDF form, complete, and mail with your check payable to UNC-Chapel Hill to the UNC Office of Development, P.O. Box 309, Chapel Hill, NC 27514. Contributions are tax deductible and will be acknowledged by the University.
